MS degree in Physics (1988) and Ph.D. degree in “Methods and Techniques for Environmental Monitoring” (1998). She has collaborated with CNR since 1989, and was appointed researcher in March 1998. She has coordinated the research line “ Environmental Modeling and Planning” since 1994, being scientific responsible of the Research Group “ Integrated Modeling for Energy-Environmental Sustainability” since 2006. Her research activities, formerly carried out in the framework of the IEA-ETSAP Programme, deal with energy system analysis aimed at anthropogenic activities’ impact characterization and multi-objective sustainable resource use strategies definition. She has participated as scientific responsible and tasks coordinator in many research projects financed by EU, the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research and the Basilicata Region Authority. Dr Cosmi is also co-author of several peer reviewed articles and book chapters and is reviewer of Energy and Energy Policy.
