The main objective of the research team is the study of soil and subsoil through the development of integrated methodologies: statistics, geophysical, geochemical and mineralogical and biochemical. The research activities focus both on basic research (interaction processes hydrosphere-biosphere-geosphere and analysis of the environmental variables and natural and anthropic hazards) and on applications of geophysical (EM methods) and geochemical techniques. The main topics are: development of integrated methods for the study of natural processes, analysis and mitigation of natural and anthropic hazard, development of integrated methods applied to archeology, archaeometry and engineering.
