La giornata informativa ERC + FET, e il GdL ERC soci APRE,
inizialmente previsti per il 20 gennaio 2014 sono stati
spostati al 30 gennaio 2014.
Le espressioni di interesse per il nuovo Gruppo di Lavoro
APRE ERC sono ancora aperte.
A seguito dello scarso successo al bando StG2013 e viste le
dure restrizioni per la risottomissione delle proposte previste
in Horizon2020, APRE ha deciso di lanciare un nuovo
Gruppo di Lavoro per i soci con lo scopo di analizzare i
punti di forza e di debolezza delle proposte e, in particolare,
dei CV dei giovani ricercatori italiani.
Il gruppo di lavoro sarà organizzato in tre sessioni parallele,
corrispondenti ai 3 macro-domini scientifici dell’ERC:
- • Scienze fisiche ed ingegneristiche;
- • Scienze della vita;
- • Scienze socio economiche ed umanistiche
A ciascuna sessione prenderanno parte almeno un valutatore
e un PI Starting Grant.
Nel pomeriggio del 30 gennaio 2014, presso il MIUR, a seguito
della giornata informativa ERC e FET, ci sarà un primo incontro
per raccogliere idee, espressioni di interesse e definire
la tempistica per l’organizzazione del GdL.

The EIT has published the Selection
Criteria for the EIT’s 2014 Call for KICs
On the 13th of December the EIT has published the Selection
Criteria for selecting the first two new KICs to be established
in 2014. The two new KICs will address the thematic
fields of:
1. Innovation for healthy living and active ageing; and
2. Raw materials: sustainable exploration, extraction,
processing, recycling and substitution.
The first step in the process leading up to the designation
of the new KICs in December 2014 is the publication of
the criteria building on the principles set in the EIT Regulation
and the EIT's core values of impact, excellence and
partnership. Aligned with the EIT's mission, these criteria
will ensure that the designated KICs have all the elements
that make a KIC a KIC.
The EIT will then publish the Framework of Guidance, the
EIT Financial Rules and the EIT Principles for financing,
monitoring and evaluating KIC activities in January 2014
followed by the launch of the Call on 14 February 2014.

Workshop on Agriculture under H2020
The European Commission’s European Innovation Partnership
(EIP) on Agriculture is organising a workshop on the
theme of "Connecting Research and Practice – Opportunities
for Innovation in Agriculture and Rural Areas under
Horizon 2020".
The event will be held in Brussels on 14 January 2014
(there are 80 places available) and will deal with Societal
Challenge 2 calls on Sustainable Food Security and Innovative,
Sustainable and Inclusive Bio-economy under the new
2014-2015 Horizon 2020 work programme.
We will provide live streaming during the event via the eipagri
website. All online participants will be able to ask their
questions via twitter, SMS or e-mail.
